By Zoila Palma: Galen University and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MOECST) have formalized a scholarship agreement aimed at expanding access to higher education for deserving Belizeans.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday, August 26, during a visit by MOECST Chief Executive Officer Dian Maheia, Deputy Chief Education Officer Dr. Cecilia Smith and other ministry representatives to Galen University.
Under the partnership, Galen University will provide annual scholarships in support of the Ministry’s efforts to increase educational opportunities and develop Belize’s human capital.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to higher education, professional development and creating pathways for Belizeans to advance their careers and contribute to national development.
Galen University and the Ministry noted that the agreement strengthens their longstanding partnership and highlights the importance of collaboration in advancing Belize’s education sector.
