G-Flow’s Keith Enwright, Jr. wins 23rd Annual BEL Men’s Youth Cross Country Cycling Classic

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: G-Flow’s Keith Enwright, Jr. won the 23rd Annual BEL Youth Cross Country Cycling Classic on Sunday.

In the joint Junior/Youth race, Enwright rode hard along with Junior rider Richard Rosado of the Rolling Shattaz to bridge the gap set by eventual Junior winner and his G-Flow teammate Jaylen Briceño, Guatemalan Kevin Rojas, and Youth rider Ethan Khalil Gentle of the Chavarria’s Cycling Team.

Gentle attacked early on in the 70-mile race from San Ignacio on the way to Belize City. He was eventually caught by Rojas and then Briceño.

Having expended too much energy, Gentle was dropped by Briceño and Rojas about ten miles from Belize City. Enwright and Rosado caught with him by the Bourdon Canal Bridge and left him behind a while later.

Enwright and Rosado eventually caught Rojas after Briceño left him behind.

Enwright managed to finish third overall and first in the Youth Category. Gentle rode in a while later in fifth overall and second in the Youth Category.

Wateva Boyz’s Kaleb Ortega took third, Chavarria’s Malachi Myvette placed fourth, and Valvoline’s Jaheem Lewis finished fifth.
