By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police have formally arrested and charged four individuals following the discovery of suspected crack cocaine in San Jose Village, Orange Walk District.
Authorities confirmed that Margarita Virginia Ek, 33, a Belizean cook; Fidel Antonio Juchim, 30, a construction worker; Valentin Ek, 15; and Ivani Marveli Sanker, 18, a domestic worker of San Pablo Village, have all been charged with possession of controlled drugs.
The charges stem from a police operation conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2026, during which officers discovered 0.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine wrapped in aluminium foil inside the kitchen area of Ek’s residence.
An Information and Complaint was sworn, leading to the formal charges against the four individuals. They remain in police custody pending their court arraignment.
