South Africa’s master plan for the clothing, textile, footwear and leather industry has turned around the sector’s fortunes, generating over 20,000 jobs since its launch five years ago, the government said.
The sector employs over 500,000, including 250,000 in manufacturing and over 280,000 in retail.
