The meeting, held in the heart of the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) stronghold, West Kingston, allowed Barrow to reconnect with Caribbean Democratic Union (CDU) colleagues and strengthen ties with Jamaican political leaders. Barrow expressed gratitude for the relationships built during his tenure as UDP Leader, emphasizing their importance in advancing the interests of Belize and other nations.
Barrow’s visit coincided with Prime Minister Andrew Holness’s absence, as he was attending the CARICOM Heads meeting.
The former UDP leader’s connections with regional leaders are seen as crucial in promoting Belize’s interests and fostering cooperation.
