By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A traffic collision on Gravel Lane, Orange Walk, left a motorcycle rider and his passenger injured following an accident involving a Ford Escort.
Police report that a grey Ford Escort was found on the left-hand side of the road with damage to the front bumper and left headlight. The vehicle was driven by Marco Maaz, 29, of San Jose Palmar Village.
Across the roadway, a red Meilun motorcycle was observed with damage to its fender, light, and seat. The motorcycle was driven by Hector Rene Sabido Jr., 18, of Petville Village.
Sabido complained of pain to his left knee and was issued a medico-legal form. His passenger, Keila Guerra, 19, of Savannah Street, suffered a cut wound to her left foot and abrasions to her left elbow.
Police say Mr. Maaz admitted fault and agreed to settle the matter through insurance. The scene was processed and a sketch plan prepared, while formal statements are still pending.
