FO4ACP Global Learning Route continues with visit to Lamanai Archaeological Reserve

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On December 12, 2024, the Farmers’ Organizations for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (FO4ACP) Global Learning Route continued with a visit to the Lamanai Archaeological Reserve, alongside internal discussions and deliberations.

This initiative aims to strengthen agricultural value chains by promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration among key stakeholders.

The program featured presentations on access to finance, with panelists including Henry N. Anderson, CEO of DFC; Roberto Harrison, Project Coordinator at CRESAP; and Marissa Gonzalez, Credit Manager at La Inmaculada Credit Union.

The event also included a visit to the Orange Walk Beekeepers Co-operative, where participants engaged in an interactive discussion and toured an apiary.

Sergio Tillett, Agribusiness Officer at BMDC, also contributed to the session.

The day concluded with a tour of BMDC’s facilities in Orange Walk.
