By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the first murder for October and first reported since the end of the State of Emergency for Belize City and Cayo in September.
The victim is 35-year-old Floyd Hyde of Reggae Street. According to police information he was found lying motionless in a pool of blood on the ground. The body appeared to have several stab wounds.
Floyd Hyde was at home with his common law wife just before 7 p.m. when he left his house to go to the store. About 15 minutes later, she heard a commotion in the yard and called 911. Hyde was found by another family member shortly thereafter.
