By Aaron Humes: Last month when asked, Prime Minister John Briceño did not rule out a reshuffle of his Cabinet, only months after the general election in March.
“You always contemplate that at all times. I mean, that’s something that you think everything but but if you look at it, next month, November, it’s going to be five years that we’ve been really in government, you know, I believe that, there’s always room for improvement, whether we’re going to be a reshuffle or not that that’s left to be seen,” he said in an interview on October 27.
Now comes word of a potential announcement of such a reshuffle on this, the fifth anniversary of the People’s United Party being elected in 2020.
Previous changes have surrounded the departure of Senators Eamon Courtenay in 2022 and a switch in the Ministry of Health the year before, but this time the changes have potential to be more widespread.
Nonetheless, the P.M. said last month, the work must continue: “I mean, we, we need to to continue to work and we have, our plan, PLAN BELIZE 2.0 that we need to we continue to try to implement best we possibly can.”
Today is a Cabinet meeting day and so as soon as there is word we will inform you, our readers.
