By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police in Belize City have arrested 5 people in connection with an armed robbery early this morning.
The incident occurred around 12:55 a.m. on Belchina Bridge when 23-year-old Aaron Whyte reported being approached by a Chevy Equinox.
Five males allegedly exited the vehicle and stole his cellphone at gunpoint.
Police quickly intercepted the vehicle near Lindos Alley, discovering the five male occupants.
During a search, officers recovered a cellphone that Whyte identified as his.
The suspects were taken to the station for further processing as the investigation continues.
