By Aaron Humes: A family home in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye has been destroyed by fire, leaving ten adults and nine children out of house and home.
The plycem-built residence on Marina Drive went up in flames around 7:30 when, while cooking, a gas hose disconnected from the butane tank, then ignited a rug and saw flames quickly spread through the house.
All of the occupants got out safely and no injuries were reported.
However, the house and all its contents were completely destroyed and were not insured. The total cost of damages remains unknown.
