By Aaron Humes: Police responded late Sunday evening to reports of a house fire in Belama Phase 4 that caused significant damage.
According to the homeowner, he secured the unpainted, zinc-roofed house measuring 20 by 20 feet and elevated eight feet off the ground on Monday, December 29. He was alerted on Sunday by a neighbour of the fire around 9:07 p.m.
The value of the items damaged is unknown as is the cause of the fire which was extinguished. T house and its contents were not insured. Police are investigating.
