
October is Creole Heritage Month [Mwa éwitaj Kwéyòl] in Saint Lucia. This year, Mwa Ewitaj Kwéyòl officially launched around the theme Kwéyòl sé fòs nou, which translates to ‘Creole is our strength.’ As part of these events, L’Alliance française will present a screening of Zion (2025)— Nelson Foix’s feature debut film, which was shot in Guadeloupe and was very successful in the French Caribbean. Nelson Foix is a screenwriter and director, based in Guadeloupe, whose creative universe is articulated on the axes of Caribbean and urban culture. He is known for his roles in Ti Moun Aw (2019, his short film) and Beau geste (2023). Zion (2025) is his first feature film.
