By Zoila Palma: Fifteen women in the Toledo District have successfully completed a Cell phone repair training program aimed at promoting self-employment and economic empowerment.
The initiative provided hands-on training in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of mobile devices, giving participants valuable technical skills to pursue independent income-generating opportunities.
The program was led by the Investment Policy & Compliance Unit (IPCU) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Taiwan Technical Mission.
Organizers say the effort is part of a wider push to support sustainable livelihoods, particularly for women, and to encourage inclusive national development.
By equipping participants with the necessary tools and knowledge, the initiative aims to foster long-term economic resilience and self-sufficiency within communities.
