By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize’s (FFB) FIFA Elite Youth Coaches Workshop is now in full swing, marking its fourth day of sessions dedicated to strengthening youth football development nationwide.
The programme, which runs through Friday, December 5, has brought together 28 coaches from across Belize — including 9 women and 20 men — all committed to raising the standards of youth coaching and player development.

International Expertise
Guidance is being provided by a distinguished team of international instructors:
- Callum Irving (Scotland)
- Tobias Powalla (Germany)
- Stewart Hall (England)
- Marco Santillán (Mexico)
- Joaquín Lobón (Spain)
Their collective expertise is equipping Belizean coaches with modern methodologies, technical insights, and innovative approaches to nurturing young talent.

Opening Ceremony
The workshop began on Monday with an official ceremony attended by FFB President Sergio Chuc, Executive Member Shane Orio, General Secretary Ian Jones, and the Federation’s Technical Director. They welcomed both instructors and participants, reaffirming the Federation’s commitment to advancing youth football development nationwide.
Building the Future of Belizean Football
The FFB has extended its appreciation to all participants and instructors for their dedication to the growth of the beautiful game in Belize. The Federation emphasized that this initiative is a crucial step in ensuring young players benefit from quality coaching and structured development programmes.
The workshop continues throughout the week until its conclusion on Friday.
