By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize was represented at the 41st CONCACAF Ordinary Congress, held on February 1, 2026, in Managua, Nicaragua, where football leaders from across the region met to discuss governance, development, and the strategic direction of the sport.
The Belize delegation included Football Federation of Belize President Sergio Chuc, who serves as Senior Vice President of the CONCACAF Council representing Central America, along with other FFB officers: Executive Member Marlon Kuylen, General Secretary Ian Jones, and Congress Member Mario Cassanova of the Corozal Football Association.
According to the FFB, the Congress focused on key areas such as football governance, regional development initiatives, competition planning, financial and administrative matters, and long‑term strategies to strengthen the game throughout the CONCACAF region.
The FFB release emphasized the importance of Belize’s participation, noting:
“Belize’s presence at this important regional forum underscores our continued commitment to the growth and development of football at all levels.”
