Farmers, FCD battle fires in and around Vaca Forest Reserve

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: For days, farmers joined by rangers from Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD) have joined efforts in battling fires in and around the Vaca Forest Reserve.

The raging fires destroyed several farms.

Gomer Enriquez took to social media to express gratitude to Byron Godoy, his workers, Don Oscar, Hugo, Jasmin Enriquez, FCD, Eduardo Mendez, Jenny Martinez and all volunteers who assisted with gas, food and everything else they used.

FCD reminds all farmers that only collective actions can protect and preserve our natural landscapes for generations to come.
