By Aaron Humes: Farmer Abraham Chan of San Estevan, Orange Walk District, is recovering after sustaining gunshot injuries via pellet wounds from a shotgun last Thursday.
According to Police, Chan reported that he was doing farm work in the area along with other persons when they heard a loud bang and he realized that he had been shot. He was taken for treatment and he’s now in a stable condition.
ACP Hilberto Romero told reporters, “We detained several suspects, but no one has been charged at this time…We do not know [if he was the intended target]… We are following several leads, but we have not established a motive.”
