By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize is experiencing generally fair weather this Thursday, July 24, 2025, according to the latest forecast issued at 6:01 a.m. by forecaster Tareek Matthews. However, the calm conditions are expected to change later tonight into Friday.
Today’s forecast calls for sunny skies with periods of cloudiness. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are likely, especially over northern and central areas later this morning into the afternoon. While rainfall will remain limited for most of the day, weather experts caution that increased moisture could bring more widespread activity later.
By tonight, conditions will shift as shower activity increases, particularly along the coast and in southern parts of the country. Light and variable winds continue to dominate, creating a light chop at sea, with waves between 2 to 4 feet.
Temperatures will remain warm, reaching highs of 93°F inland, 88°F along the coast, and 80°F in the hills. Overnight lows are expected to dip to 72°F inland, 82°F on the coast, and 67°F in higher elevations.
The National Meteorological Service reports that no tropical cyclone formation is expected over the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours, but Friday’s outlook shows an uptick in activity. Skies will be mostly cloudy to overcast, with showers, rain, and isolated thunderstorms affecting most of the country throughout the day and into the night.
Tidal patterns for today include a high tide at 9:10 a.m., a low tide at 4:40 p.m., followed by another high tide at 10:44 p.m. Sunrise was at 5:29 a.m., and sunset is expected at 6:28 p.m. The moon will rise at 6:44 p.m. and set at 6:13 a.m.
