By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect mostly sunny skies and light winds today, with showers and thunderstorms increasing tonight, particularly in northern and coastal areas, according to the National Meteorological Service.
Forecaster Crystal Rosalez says the country remains under the influence of moist and somewhat unstable conditions, keeping fair weather over most areas.
Winds will be easterly at 0–10 knots, seas will be slight, and waves will range from 1 to 3 feet — ideal for small craft operations.
Temperatures will rise to 92°F inland, 88°F along the coast, and 80°F in the hills, before cooling to mid-70s tonight.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Jerry remains far out in the Atlantic, posing no threat to Belize as it tracks west-northwest with sustained winds of 65 mph.
The extended forecast indicates a slight uptick in showers and thunderstorms on Friday, especially over the north and spreading to most areas by night.
