By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can look forward to a warm and largely dry day, but forecasters say to make the most of it, as a shift in the weather is expected to begin tomorrow.
According to the National Meteorological Service, mainly fair and warm conditions will prevail today. Skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells, becoming partly cloudy tonight, and any shower activity will be generally isolated.
Temperatures along the coast will reach a high of 89 degrees Fahrenheit (32 Celsius) and a low of 82 (28 Celsius). Inland areas will be hot, climbing to 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 Celsius) and dropping to 74 (23 Celsius). In the hills, expect a high of 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 Celsius) and a cooler low of 68 (20 Celsius).
At sea, winds will blow from the east at 10 to 20 knots, with light chop and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
On the tropical front, there is good news. No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
The change arrives on Sunday. The outlook calls for cloudy skies at times with isolated showers on Sunday morning, before activity gradually increases, along with thunderstorms, mainly over southern and central areas, from Sunday afternoon into the night.
Today’s low tides are at 6:23 AM and 7:32 PM, with a high tide at 12:24 PM and another high at 1:40 AM tomorrow. The sun sets this evening at 6:31 PM and rises tomorrow at 5:23 AM. The forecast was issued by forecaster Crystal Rosalez.
