By Breaking Belize News Staff: Mainly fair and warm weather prevails across the country this weekend, according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service.
Today will bring sunny skies with a few cloudy spells, while tonight will be partly cloudy. Showers or thunderstorms will be generally isolated, though a few more are expected to develop mostly over southern areas during the night.
Winds are forecast from the east to southeast at 5 to 15 knots, producing light chop on the seas with waves between 2 to 4 feet. Daytime highs will be hot, reaching 90°F (32°C) along the coast, a sweltering 96°F (36°C) inland, and 84°F (29°C) in the hills. Overnight lows are expected at 83°F (28°C) on the coast, 73°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
No tropical cyclone development is expected over the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours. On Sunday, skies will be cloudy at times with generally isolated showers or thunderstorms. By Sunday night, a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mostly affecting the south and some coastal areas.
High tide today is at 8:42 AM and again at 9:33 PM, while low tide occurs at 3:40 PM. Tomorrow morning’s low tide is at 3:15 AM. Sunrise today was at 5:39 AM, with sunset set for 6:02 PM. The moon rises at 5:29 PM today and sets at 5:27 AM tomorrow.
