By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belizeans can look forward to another day of mostly fair and warm weather as easterly airflow continues to dominate the region. The National Meteorological Service reports that skies will remain mostly sunny today with little rainfall expected.
Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy to clear, with only isolated showers developing, mainly over southern areas during the morning. The forecast also highlights the possibility of afternoon or evening thunderstorms forming over the Maya Mountains.
Marine conditions remain favorable, with winds from the east to southeast at 5–15 knots, a slight sea state, and waves between 1 to 3 feet. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 90°F along the coast, 96°F inland, and 84°F in the hills.
Looking ahead, forecasters say Saturday’s weather will remain fair and warm, with only isolated showers except for a few more over the south.
In the tropical Atlantic, a broad low-pressure system associated with a tropical wave has been identified as AL91. It is likely to develop into a tropical depression this weekend as it tracks slowly westward, but it currently poses no threat to Belize.
Forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch advises residents to continue monitoring updates, especially as the peak of the hurricane season approaches.
