By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Extremely dangerous Category 4 Hurricane Beryl has made landfall on Carriacou Island in the Caribbean.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) noted that Air force reconnaissance aircraft found Beryl stronger.
Satellite imagery and Barbados radar data indicate that the eye of Beryl has made landfall on Carriacou Island.
Beryl’s maximum sustained winds have increased to 150 mph (240 km/h).
