“Salt and Soul: Pa Twa,” an exhibition by Marcia Honychurch is on view at Old Oven Art Gallery at the Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort in Roseau, Dominica, through January 26, 2026.
In “On view in Dominica / Art buzz,” Caribbean Beat (issue 192; January/February 2026) featured three ongoing exhibitions by Dominica-born artists: Heston Francis, Marica Honychurch, and Pauline Marcelle. Caribbean Beat describes Marica Honychurch’s “Salt and Soul” as “a powerful solo photographic exhibition that pays tribute to Dominica’s people, energy, and culture” with “works [that] are intended as a living archive of creativity and cultural pride.” The article underlines that the collection is inspired by Ole Mas and Creole heritage.
After January 26, the exhibition will then move to Bwa Denn Art Gallery at Secret Bay in Portsmouth, Dominica, from February 2 to April 20, 2026.
Marica Honychurch (bio from artist’s page): Born and raised in Dominica, West Indies, Marica Honychurch moved to the U.S. in her late teens where she was first introduced to the world of photography. She gained a B.F.A at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and was able to experience film and darkroom processes before transitioning over to digital in commercial photography.
Marica worked for several years in New York City primarily in the fashion world of photography and led the digital archive for Fragile Productions, as well as freelanced with revered fashion photographers. She returned to Dominica as a freelance photographer concentrating on travel, documentary, and fine art. Her work has been showcased in print, exhibitions, galleries and online.
