Description: Dialogues on Freedom.

While the Virgin Islands celebrates the anniversary of emancipation on July 3rd each year, there is also the American celebration of independence of this nation on July 4th.  As we celebrate events throughout the past where people have fought for and won freedoms, our goal is to have those dialogues woven with threads of future freedoms; how do we maintain those freedoms and how do we solidify them for future generations. We believe that if we take our freedoms for granted, we fall at risk of losing them, and so, we are committing to an annual deep dive into the realm of Freedom each year.

For many years, CMCArts has been dedicated to an annual Pride art exhibition as an ally and partner to stand strong and loud about freedom for all. In 2025, CMCArts rolled its annual Pride exhibition into the Dialogues on Freedom series.  The series now begins each June featuring two exhibition showcases through August in dialogue about Freedom.
