By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On November 29, 2024, entrepreneurs gathered for the 7th Annual National Entrepreneurship Convention (ENTRECON).
ENTRECON 2024 was held at the Belize Civic Center.
The theme for this year’s ENTRECON is to “Powering Small Businesses with Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.”
The event featured a keynote address by Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde, and discussions on how AI can be utilized as a powerful tool to support business growth through enhanced efficiency, innovation, and decision-making.
Attendees included Ishmael Quiroz, Executive Director of BELTRAIDE, and Narda Garcia, CEO in the Office of the Prime Minister and Chair of BELTRAIDE’s Board of Directors, along with entrepreneurs who have been working with BELTRAIDE to grow their businesses.
ENTRECON also featured the BLAZE Awards gala honoring outstanding Belizean entrepreneurs.
A silent auction was also held to support the Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis Association of Belize.
