By Zoila Palma: Belize Bank, in partnership with Mastercard, successfully hosted the second annual Girls4Tech program in Belize, furthering its commitment to empowering young girls through STEM education.
The event, held from March 17th to 19th, 2025, in Belize City, brought together 300 primary school girls and provided them with valuable STEM skills while inspiring potential career paths in technology and finance.
Participating schools this year included Holy Redeemer Primary School and Grace Primary School from Belize City, along with Pancotto Primary School from Sandhill Village.
Belize Bank remains dedicated to breaking barriers and creating educational and financial opportunities.
The Girls4Tech initiative specifically aims to close the gender gap in STEM fields by offering young girls hands-on learning experiences and exposure to careers in technology.
