By Aaron Humes: Former Police Corporal Elmer Nah was formally indicted in the High Court of Justice Nigel Pilgrim Wednesday morning on three counts of murder and one of attempted murder, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Nah is accused of the murders of John, Vivian and David Ramnarace in Belmopan on New Year’s Eve, 2022, and the attempted murder of Yemi Alberto. Special Prosecutor Terrance Williams opened the trial by indicating that he intends to prove that only Nah could have committed the murders based on visual and circumstantial evidence, including the alleged capturing of the crime on video, and the dying declaration of Vivian Ramnarace that allegedly fingered Nah as the killer.

The first witnesses were called in the case as Ramnarace’s statement is challenged in a voir dire to test whether it can be accepted as evidence. The trial continues.
