The public is hereby notified that a team of officers from the Elections and Boundaries Department will be visiting the village below in the Cayo District to accept applications for registration as electors and delivery of voter identification cards.
To qualify to register, you must be:
- Eighteen years of age or over; and
- A citizen of Belize; or
- A citizen of any Commonwealth country who has ordinarily reside in Belize for a period of not less than twelve months; and
- A resident for a period of not less than two months in the electoral division in which you seek registration.
To facilitate the process, persons are required to produce any of the following valid original documents:
- Belizean birth certificate, or Belize nationality certificate, along with (Social Security Card or photograph certified, stamped and signed by a Justice of the Peace); or
- Belizean Passport; or
- Commonwealth Passport (for Commonwealth Citizens)
❖ Persons who have been registered as electors since 2nd July 2018 and have not yet picked up their voter’s identification card can pick up their identification cards.
Residents of these villages are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
