By Aaron Humes: Police are currently investigating the troubling death of seventy-two-year-old Linda Morgan, a retired American resident of the Fresh Pond community. The incident occurred early in the morning on Thursday, October 23, when police received a report regarding a deceased individual at a residence on Coconut Drive.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., officers arrived at the dark brown bungalow to find Wilton Morgan, 61, the husband of the deceased. He informed the police that after waking up and noticing his wife was not in the room, he began to search the house for her. His search led him to the bathroom, where he discovered Linda slumped on the sewage bowl, leaning forward in her wheelchair. She had sustained severe cut wounds to both legs and was bleeding profusely.
ASP Stacy Smith today confirmed that several pieces of evidence have been collected and are being analyzed, while interviews are being conducted with potential witnesses. The body of Linda Morgan is currently awaiting a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
As this investigation unfolds, the police are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in clarifying this tragic event.
