By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have formally charged a well-known Belize City man in connection with the gruesome murder of Shaniele Faber, whose body was found stuffed inside a garbage drum over the weekend.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, a warrant was obtained before formally arresting and charging Goldburne Glenford Adolphus, 55, a Belizean security guard of the corner of George Price Highway and Central American Boulevard, for the crime of murder.
Faber’s reportedly mutilated body was discovered around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, inside a blue garbage drum at the corner of Amandala Drive and Cemetery Road. A man rummaging through the trash for bottles stumbled upon the partially decomposed remains and alerted police.
At the scene, investigators found that the victim — later identified as Shaniele Faber — had sustained multiple injuries to the upper body. She was pronounced dead at 6:38 p.m. at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
Police have since confirmed that the murder occurred sometime between October 2nd and October 4th, and following days of investigation, Adolphus was taken into custody and charged.
Authorities continue their investigation as Adolphus awaits his court appearance.
