By Breaking Belize News Staff: Fifty-five-year-old Goldburne Adolphus, also known as “Easy Glen,” was escorted from the Belize City Magistrate’s Court to the Crimes Investigation Branch (CIB) on Thursday as part of ongoing investigations into the murder of Shaniele Faber.

Adolphus, who made his fourth court appearance, remains unrepresented. During proceedings, he requested and was provided with a copy of the facts of his case. However, no case file is yet ready, as the matter has been sent back to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), resulting in another adjournment. His next court date is set for April 27, 2026.

Shortly after exiting Court #2, at approximately 10:33 a.m., Adolphus was escorted by CIB officers to the Queen Street Police Station, where investigators conducted an identification parade and obtained a blood sample in connection with the case. He was returned to court custody around midday and subsequently remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

Adolphus has now been on remand for over five months in relation to the murder of Faber, a 42-year-old mother of four. Her death occurred between October 2 and 4, 2025, before the gruesome discovery of her partially decomposed body stuffed inside a blue drum at the corner of Amandala Drive and Cemetery Road.

According to police reports, the body was discovered on October 4, 2025, by a man searching for bottles. Faber’s remains showed multiple injuries, including wounds to the head, right hand, and right calf. She was later pronounced dead at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Investigators later identified a secondary crime scene at a residence on the George Price Highway, where blood spatter was found. Authorities recovered a machete with apparent blood stains, a trolley, and additional forensic samples. Surveillance footage from the area reportedly led to Adolphus’ detention.

He was formally charged with murder on October 6, 2025, and first arraigned the following day. The case remains under active investigation.
