By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a burglary reported early Monday morning at the UNO gas station located along the Philip Goldson Highway in Orange Walk Town.
According to police, the incident was discovered around 5:18 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, when a pump attendant arrived for duty and noticed that a curtain on the left side of the building was open. Upon entering the building, she found the interior in disarray.
Police say the cash pan from the front cashier’s area, containing an undisclosed amount of cash, was missing. Additional checks revealed that the manager’s office had been forcibly entered, with the door knob broken and visible damage to the door. The office was also ransacked.
The attendant immediately notified the security guard on duty and later contacted the station manager to report the incident. Police and Scenes of Crime personnel responded to the location and began processing the scene.
Surveillance footage from the gas station is currently being reviewed as part of the investigation.
