By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A Belizean laborer is receiving medical treatment after reportedly losing control of his motorcycle near Trinidad Village, Orange Walk.
Police say that at approximately 7:15 p.m., on Tuesday, they responded to reports of a traffic accident and discovered 36-year-old Walter Cruz lying on the roadside with visible abrasions and head pain.
Cruz, who was heading toward San Felipe Village at the time, is believed to have lost control of his red Meilun motorcycle and fallen onto the roadway.
The motorcycle sustained minor damage and was found a short distance from the injured rider.
Police noted that Cruz appeared highly intoxicated at the time of the incident.
He was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment. The matter remains under investigation.
