By Aaron Humes: Police have formally arrested and charged a 43-year-old man for the offence of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another.
On Wednesday, April 8, about 5:00 p.m., police observed a white Ford Fusion travelling from the direction of Orange Walk toward Belize City and subsequently pulled it over on the roadside. The driver, Godwin Samuel Straughan, consented to a search of his person and vehicle. During the search, police discovered a large black and transparent plastic bag containing 463 grams (16.33 ounces, 1.02 pounds) of suspected cannabis in the said vehicle.
On Wednesday, April 8, police formally charged Godwin Samuel Straughan for the offence.
