By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A routine police patrol in Orange Walk Town led to the discovery of a traffic violation involving an uninsured vehicle on Thursday night.
At around 8:00 p.m., officers conducting mobile patrol on Caracol Street noticed a red Toyota Corolla travelling without a rear license plate.
Police signaled the driver to stop, and he complied.
Upon inspection, officers requested and reviewed the driver’s documents. While a valid driver’s license was produced, further checks revealed that the vehicle’s insurance had expired.
The driver was informed that he had committed the offence of operating a motor vehicle not covered by third-party risk insurance.
