By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno welcomed to Belize Country Director at the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in El Salvador Sohui Cho.
The Prime Minister reiterated an invitation for the agency to establish a permanent office in country.
“I thank the Government of Korea for the grant funding to assist the Statistical Institute of Belize. SIB is critical as accurate data gathering informs development policies and external investors interested in doing business with Belize.
Most recently, we signed an agreement for Belize to become a beneficiary of the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of Korea,” the Prime Minister noted.
KOICA’s mission is to contribute to the common prosperity and the promotion of world peace through inclusive, mutual development cooperation leaving no one behind.
