Haylock has played a pioneering role in shaping Belize’s cultural and creative sector. With a strong foundation in drama and theatre—directing acclaimed productions such as We Won’t Pay, We Won’t Pay (2005) and Cyaant Walk Da Mi Plantaish (2006)—she has consistently used the arts as a platform for social commentary, community engagement, and national reflection.
Beyond the stage, her leadership has been transformative. As President of the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), she championed policies and programs that strengthened Belize’s cultural institutions and elevated creative expression across multiple art forms.
Later, as Ambassador to Taiwan, she advanced cultural diplomacy, positioning Belize’s heritage and creativity on the international stage.
Her career reflects not only artistic excellence but also visionary leadership, making her a true custodian of culture and a trailblazer in the creative sector.
