The Department of Transport (DOT) is launching a nationwide distribution of pending license plates, stickers, and driver’s license cards for individuals who have already paid. This initiative aims to streamline the distribution process, eliminate backlog, and enhance customer satisfaction. To facilitate this, multiple teams will be deployed across the country on different dates to support district offices and improve efficiency.
Customers must present their receipts as proof of payment for license stickers or driver’s licenses, along with the original Certificate of Title, to claim license plates. Additionally, customers must collect their items from the same office where the payment was made.
To ensure accessibility, all offices will be open during normal working hours, including the lunch hour, on the scheduled distribution day from February 20 to February 25, 2025.
Distribution Schedule:
- Thursday, February 20, 2025 – Belmopan, Spanish Lookout, and Santa Elena
- Friday, February 21, 2025 – Belize City
- Monday, February 24, 2025 – Corozal and Orange Walk
- Tuesday, February 25, 2025 – Dangriga, Independence, and Punta Gorda
Customers are encouraged to visit their respective district offices on the scheduled dates to collect their license plates, license stickers, and driver’s license cards.
The DOT acknowledges the inconvenience this issue may have caused and sincerely apologizes to all affected individuals. Moving forward, the Department will implement measures to prevent such delays from recurring. The Department appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as it works towards a more efficient and customer-friendly system.
