By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Department of Transport and the Belize Police Department’s Traffic Unit received a donation of equipment from the Second Road Safety Project.
The Department of Transport and the Traffic Unit are now better equipped to ramp up efforts to promote road safety and conduct routine traffic stops along Belize’s highways.
The equipment includes handheld radios with base chargers, traffic signs and cones, retractable speedbumps, handcuffs, raincoats, reflective vests, and first aid kits.
The Department of Transport expressed gratitude to the Second Road Safety Project.
