By Zoila Palma: On March 27, 2025, the Department of Local Government hosted Mayors, Town & City Administrators, Revenue Managers, Finance Directors, and Accountants from all municipalities for an Annual Review Session.
During the session, they reviewed financial performance, highlighted key achievements, identified challenges, and explored solutions for the continued growth and sustainable development of all municipalities.
Additionally, the session fostered networking and collaboration among local government leaders and among all participants.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction of Minister 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗿., the new Minister of Local Government, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and the strengthening of local government structures across Belize.
