By Zoila Palma: Today, the Department of the Environment (DOE) stepped up its fight against litter by donating 91 garbage bins, garbage bags, and educational flyers to the National Bus Company (NBC) and the Ministry of Transportation.
The bins will soon be installed on NBC buses, making it easier for commuters across the country to dispose of their waste responsibly.
DOE noted that this donation is a key part of the national anti-littering campaign, under the theme “OUR BELIZE, OUR RESPONSIBILITY, BIN IT!”
The campaign calls on everyone to take pride in their surroundings and reduce the stubborn piles of garbage lining our roadways.
