By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A young delivery man is facing traffic charges after being stopped by police during a mobile patrol in the Orange Walk District.
According to the Belize Police Department, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at around 11:30 a.m., officers on patrol along Palmar Road in San Jose Palmar Nuevo Village signalled a man riding a black motorcycle to stop, which he did. The rider produced his driver’s license and was identified as 18-year-old Keiron Blair, a Belizean delivery man of Orange Walk District.
Upon inspecting the motorcycle, police said they noticed an expired insurance disc and that the rider was unable to produce a valid license sticker for the vehicle. He was placed under arrest, cautioned, and advised of his constitutional rights.
Blair was informed that he had committed the offences of using an unlicensed motor vehicle and using a motor vehicle not covered by third party risk insurance. He was subsequently charged with both traffic offences, granted police bail in the sum of $300, and chose to remain silent.
