Delille Academy down Belmopan Baptist 3-1 in the National Secondary Schools Sports Association Boys Football Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Delille Academy defeated Belmopan Baptist High School 3-1 on Day 2 of the National Secondary Schools Sports Association Boys Football Championship at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga on Friday.

Tyrese Moody opened the scoring in nfavour of Belmopan Baptist in the 17’.

However, Delille equalized on a Devin Garbutt goal in the 26’. The game remained tied until the final seven minutes, when Jervis Duran found the net in the 83’ and Aaron Estero in the 86’ securing the 3-1 victory.

On Thursday, Delille fell 3-2 to Gwen Lizarraga High School while Belmopan Baptist lost 6-1 to Muffles College.

Muffles beat Gwen Liz 7-0 in the last game of the day.

The tournament closes on Saturday with Muffles opening against Delille at 11:00 am and Belmopan Baptist closing against Gwen Liz at 3:00 pm.
