Defending champions SQ Mega Stars reach semifinals of 2024 Women’s National Volleyball Championship, aim for repeat championship on Sunday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The  defending champions SQ Mega Stars won three games on Friday and Saturday, topping Pool A and reaching the semifinals of the 2024 Belize Women’s National Volleyball Championship at the Mopan Technical High School Savannah Auditorium in Benque Viejo del Carmen. On Sunday, they will be aiming to repeat as champions as they play in the semifinals.

The SQ Mega Stars started off with a 2-0 (25-12, 25-13) victory over the SE Junior Jaguars on Friday. Then on Saturday they topped Pool A with a 2-0 (25-5, 25-12) win over the SQ Magna Stars and a 2-0 ( 25-7, 25-13) victory over the Toledo Scorpions.

The SE Lady Jaguars, Belmopan Mystics, and SQ Imperial Stars also qualified directly to the semifinals.

The SQ Mega Stars will play the Belmopan Mystics while the SE Lady Jaguars take on the SQ Imperial Stars in the semifinals at midday on Sunday.

Games are being played on Court 1 and Court 2 and live streamed by the Belize Volleyball Association (BVA).
