By Zoila Palma: Minister of National Defence and Border Security Oscar Mira and CEO Francis Usher recently attended a strategic briefing with Belize Coast Guard leadership, including Commandant Rear Admiral Elton Bennett.
The session focused on the Coast Guard’s 12-month Command Plan.
Held during the Senior Officers Conference on May 8–9 at the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the briefing highlighted key priorities such as recruitment, welfare programs, capacity building, and infrastructure development.
Officials thanked the Coast Guard for its ongoing dedication to national security and maritime operations.
