By Breaking Belize News Staff: A decision in the burglary case against Lennox Gentle has been delayed, as the court awaits submissions from his attorney before a ruling can be made.
Gentle, whose bail was revoked approximately two and a half months ago for failing to attend court, remains on remand at the Belize Central Prison. He has been in custody since January 16, 2026.
When Gentle appeared before a Senior Magistrate in Court #3 last week, he had expected a decision in his burglary trial. However, the matter was adjourned after the court was informed that his attorney, Norman Rodriguez, intends to make submissions on his behalf.
The Senior Magistrate granted one final adjournment, explaining that the court must consider all evidence thoroughly before delivering a decision.
As a result, Gentle has been further remanded to the Belize Central Prison until Friday, April 10, 2026, when the matter is expected to proceed.
Gentle also has a separate firearm matter pending before the lower court.
