Dead body found with multiple chop wounds in Punta Gorda

By Horace Palacio: Police in Punta Gorda, Toledo, are investigating a grisly discovery made early this morning in the Indianville area. At approximately 9:00 AM, police were called to the scene of a secluded area behind a house on Mahogany Street, where they found the body of a man with multiple chop wounds to his neck and back.

The victim, described as being of Maya descent, was discovered lying in a bushy area, raising suspicions of foul play. Police have not yet released the victim’s identity, and investigations are ongoing to determine his identity and the circumstances surrounding his death. Officers are also working with forensic teams to establish further details regarding the cause of death.

Authorities have urged the public to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation continues.
