By Aaron Humes: Police have made an arrest in the shooting of Dangriga resident Rayshawn Middleton, who remains in critical condition at the Southern Regional Hospital after being shot on Saturday.

On July 20 the police responded to a shooting at the Benguche area of Dangriga. Middleton had an altercation with other individuals at a wake and then saw someone tampering with his motorcycle. When he intervened, the person fired shots at him.

Norbert Smith has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division, confirmed that Middleton knew the suspect and it appears that the suspect was attempting to steal the motorcycle.
